What to expect

Before Your Appointment

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes. Eat before your appointment. Avoid being overly full or fasting.

During Your Appointment

Your full health history will be reviewed and discussed. Any questions will be answered. The best acupuncture points will be chosen with your history and symptoms in mind. You will lie on a comfortable massage table. Sterile single-use acupuncture needles which are as thin as a strand of hair, will be inserted.

The acupuncturist will leave the room, where you can rest, meditate, or nap. The needles will be removed after 30 minutes.

Lifestyle, nutrition, diet, and herbal recommendations may be discussed.

After Your Appointment

Drink plenty of water. It is best to take it easy. Avoid heavy exercise directly after acupuncture.

Chronic or complex cases may require weekly visits over 3-4 months.
